2. HEALTH AND CRISIS HELP:

   .....OFFICE OF MEN'S RESOURCE CENTER - In 2001 Republican Congressman (House of Representatives) from California introduced the Men's Health Act, HR 632. This office would mirror the work of the existing Office of Women's Health, which has helped to save thousands of women's lives and has improved the lives of many more. To date (Spring 2002) this act has not yet been adopted by the U.S. government. This web site has been set up to keep you informed of its progress.

   .....CHILDREN'S RIGHTS COUNCIL - The largest national group representing non-custodial parents nationally. Most non-custodial parents are men. Produces yearly conference and publishes a national directory of all men's and father's rights orgaizations. Directory also includes other rsources to assist divorced families.    .....P.A.C.E. - PARENTS AND CHILDREN FOR EQUALITY - To date the oldest national father's rights group in the country. Has chapters in many states.    .....MEN AND FATHERS RESOURCE CENTER - Sponsored by the Texas Fatherhood Initiative. Will make referrals to local fathers groups and to other resources in the state of Texas. When you click on this link you will generate a list of topics and ideas that are interrelated and have to do with men. You will see a map. Clicking on keyword or topic will produce a list of resources.

   .....National Fathers Resources Center. Maintains a list (links) of active organizations and lists various divorce related professionals nationally.

   .....Divorce Support is a categorized site that covers many related topics about divorce. Lots of resources. Some service are for sale.

   .....Men's Issues Page directory listings. While this is the most comprehensive list to date on-line (it tries to list everything), it rarely gets updated. We also list this directory under Men's Issues, because it lists many types of men's groups.

   .....AMERICAN MEN'S STUDIES ASSOCIATION - A body of academics concerned with teaching gender issues at the high school and college level. The AMSA makes available a complete list of men's studies courses at the university level, holds conferences and publishes research. As of 2004 the AMSA began including the divergent views of Men's Rights activists and Feminist Men in one conference.     .....NEW HAMPSHIRE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF MEN - This is the first agency in the United States, established by a government, to look at social issues as they affect men and boys (fist established in the Summer of 2002).

    .....GAMES WOMEN PLAY. This site is a distillation of the wisdom based on the dating and "relationship" experience a lot of other men have had with women. It's the sort of stuff that any guy going into the dating scene needs to know, especially younger guys.

    .....MEN'S ACTIVISM - Men's Rights, News and Info - This is a premier web site for news about the men's movement and men's issues. The site tracks news stories on men's rights issues and is updated daily. The site also includes many interactive features, and users have a big influence on site content. Run by the people, for the people.

    .....MEN'S NEWS DAILY - This site provides direct links to news stories about men's issues that appear in major publications and a variety of other news sources.

    .....DESERT LIGHT JOURNAL - Published online, the Desert Light Journal is the first e-zine intended to focus primarily on the issues of domestic violence against men and divorce/child custody issues. The journal welcomes news about groups, websites, and people in the men's rights movement worldwide. The journal encourages new writers and commentary.

    .....GLENN SACKS - Glenn Sacks is the only regularly published male columnist in the US who writes about gender issues from a perspective unapologetically sympathetic to men.     .....THE MEN'S ROOM is a RADIO show that airs over KYPA (1230 am dial) in Los Angeles. The show airs on Thursdays between 7 and 8 pm. The show also has a web site that you can visit by clicking here: Men's Room. The purpose of the show is to educate the public about the broad range of men's issues. Interviews are conducted and the public can call in. - Show debut August 14, 1997.

    .....IHATEFEMINISM.COM - This site hails from the United Kingdom and is full of news and commentary. It is both educational and entertaining. NCFM recommends you visit.

    .....EVERYMAN - From CANADA comes a great publication covering all facets of the men's movement and men's issues: health, emotions, civil rights, relationships. Click here for: Everyman: A Men's Journal. Also in Canada check out the Men's Rights Organization.

    .....Brian Carnell created a site in the U.S. called "Critiques Of Feminism". In it he has a series of essays aimed at specific feminist authors, which he wrote. This is the best place to get all of the anti male quotes and whatever else you could want to make a case against feminism. This type of consciousness is not confined to the English speaking world. "Critiques of feminism and feminist censorship" is a German site (with some pages in English) that is critical of modern feminism and offers resources to make their case. They also offer a list of sites critical of feminism. Recommended for students doing term papers.

    .....AUSTRALIAN MEN - A SOCIAL UNDERCLASS - Many great essays on the male condition. Some are articles are directed at Australian men in particular, but, hey, they are just like men every else. Topics include retirement, work place, criminal law, punishment. Recommended for students doing term papers.

    .....GENDER ISSUES RESEARCH CENTER - This site has book reviews, essays and statistics. Check out the guest book and meet other people. Click here: Gender Issues Research Center. Recommended for students doing term papers (formerly, Vera's Neofeminist Home Page).

    .....WOMEN'S FREEDOM NETWORK (WFN) - This is the latest in viable women's movements coming up through the ranks. What differentiates it from feminists from the past is the genuine concern expressed for men's issues. This organization is worth taking a look at: Women's Freedom Network. This site features articles, events and news. Recommended for students doing term papers.

    .....THE MEN'S TRIBUNE - The site contains a lot of historical material. Much of it is aimed at the scholar. Clearly menstribune.com is not a site that advocates equality, but one will find that many of the issues we are considering today have been around for centuries. Recommended for students doing term papers.

    .....MEN'S ISSUES PAGE - Lists father's rights issues, feminist men and mythopoetic issues, plus other resources. Go here for a listing of father's rights organizations: Organization Listings When looking for a father's rights group, shop around locally in your area (and on the Internet). Start with a group that offers free self-help advice from other members. Look for quality and be aware that someone might try to take advantage of you if the price (dues) are high. Of course, this is not always the case. Always investigate things before you act.

    .....BACKLASH - Visit the Backlash newsletter and read some really provocative stuff. Edited by the one and only Rod Van Mechelen. Click here: BACKLASH. Backlash is the creator of another site called: feminazi.com.

    .....CULTURE BUSTERS - This site is brought to you by Blair MacRae, who is authoring a new book called, Operation: Gender War. Blair has this to say about his new book, "Operation: Gender War is more than a gender-war book. The gender war is only a symptom of the epidemic sweeping society. But focusing on gender issues helps us view the big picture". At the moment one chapter, "Lash", is available for free online. This chapter utilizes 114 references to make its factual points. In addition to the free chapter, there are also excerpts posted from many other chapters, as well as a men's group contact list.

    THE EMASCULATION OF AMERICA is a website about discrimination against men in

The options are not utopian, but in light of public prejudice these suggestions make sense. Bibliographical notes are provided and hyperlinks often point to the full text of the source. This site is highly recommended!

    .....Visit: Abused Men-The Hidden Side of Domestic Violence by Phil Cook (Greenwood/Praeger Publishers). This is the first book devoted exclusively to men who have been victimized by domestic violence.

    .....Menstuff is published by the National Men's Resource Center, which has specialized for a number of years in publishing regional, national (USA) and international events for men. Their's is a very comprehensive list of events by date. Menstuff. Menstuff also carries a wide range of resources and is a site worth checking out.     .....NCFM Board of Advisor, Warren Farrell, PhD. has a web site at Warren Farrell which we recommend. The theme or topic of discussion centered around the father. Hardly any of these youngsters had experienced a relationship with their own fathers, some spoke of stepfathers. Their entire life experience had been the influence of the woman, which had totally consumed their spirit, mind and body. These young men, inmates of wards of the state, thought like women, and they acted like women. They were highly emotional, intensely angry, and very reactive.

A March 13, 2004 public hearing sponsored by United States Representative Joe Baca produced testimony about fraud, corruption, abuse, criminal activity and judicial injustices in the child protection system and process.
